When it comes to WordPress, there is no shortage of free and premium themes that allow anyone to create a beautiful website without having to learn how to code or hiring a developer.
One such theme is Divi from Elegant Themes and it is one of the most popular WordPress themes. In this review, I'll show you what Divi has to offer, talk about its features, and cover the pros and cons of using it. Let's dive in!
Divi is a premium WordPress theme that is developed by Elegant Themes. It is the #1 used theme in all WordPress installs and allows you to build your website using a visual editor.
Divi includes an easy to use drag and drop interface and 46 different elements that you can use to create your website. It also comes with premade layouts as well as the ability to save your designs and reuse them later. Let's go over those features below.
The Divi theme is powered by the Divi Builder plugin. This allows you to drag and drop elements where you want them to appear on your page. Each page starts off with a section. You can choose between a full-width, standard, and custom sections.
You can then choose the number of columns and continue adding elements that will make your page. It's worth mentioning that you can change the number of columns for each section at any point in time.
Divi includes 46 different content elements. You can add accordions, sliders, image galleries, counters, and much more. Each element can be styled individually and you can even duplicate them and rearrange them on the page to your liking.
Divi Library allows you to not only load premade layouts that are included with Divi but also to save any of your designed layouts for later use. You can save individual sections as well as complete page layouts.
The Library also allows you to import and export the layouts so you can use them on any other site where you have Divi installed.
When it comes to customization options, Divi doesn't disappoint. For starters, you can use the Theme Customizer to adjust colors, fonts, margins, logo, background image, and much more on a global level.
However, you can also use the styling options of individual elements to override global settings and apply different font or color. You'll also find the theme options panel which you can use to add custom CSS, link your social media icons, and add custom scripts such as Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel.
On top of that, Divi comes with a plethora of header options so you can choose between a left-aligned or centered logo, vertical or horizontal navigation, transparent headers, and more.
Aside from the features above, here are a few other notable features that make Divi one of the most popular themes around.
No matter what you add to the page, you can save the sections and even elements as global elements. In essence, this means that you can save sections and reuse them on other pages on your website. If you need to modify an element, you only need to change it in one place and they will get updated across your website.
Even though you can create layouts on the backend of your site, Divi comes with a front-line editing option. This means you can see the changes as you're making them without having to refresh the page. All you have to do is click the + sign to add more elements or start typing to edit the contents.
Divi also integrates with WooCommerce which means you can create a fully functioning online store
with it.
Lastly, each element on your page can be turned into a split-test so you can see what converts better. Thanks to Divi Leads, Divi will automatically track relevant user engagement stats so you can adjust the design and content to improve your conversion rate.
Now that we’ve covered the features of Divi theme, let's discuss the pros and cons of using it.
Divi is available as a part of Elegant Themes membership. There are two licenses available:
Both licenses allow you to install the theme on an unlimited number of websites.
Divi offers a lot in terms of features and customization options. Thanks to this, Divi can be used to create a website for any occasion. If you’re looking for a versatile, multipurpose theme that is easy to use and gives you complete control over your website's design, then consider using Divi for your next website project.

Thank you for another Divi review, Darrel! I have watched many of your videos and read your reviews etc and I'm still trying to decide wether to go with Divi or Elementor pro. I don't know why, but Divi just interests me a little more. Having said that, I have read countless of reviews and comparisons between the two and I have seen quite a bit of negative feedback about Divi how it's slow and how it's this and that etc etc. I think that's one of the reasons why I still haven't given it a go. I think that it's a good thing that we have all this competition between all these page builders now, but at the same time it could be overwhelming and making it hard to choose which one to use. At least this is a huge problem for me. Haha.
